music clipping

Music clipping, run as a platform.

frequency turns one release into hundreds of original clips, posted across a network of fan accounts and music theme pages we build, own and run in-house - on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram. You send the music, we run everything else. A modern street team, built for scale.

the short version

What is music clipping?

Music clipping is cutting the strongest moments of a song, video or live performance into short clips and distributing them across a network of real social accounts, so your record reaches listeners your own channels never would. Every clip is an original edit. Every post is a fresh ticket in the algorithm. Read the full explainer →

why it works

Music is the format built for clipping

01

The hook is the format

No content on earth compresses better into fifteen seconds than a hook. Short video was made for exactly the moment your record already has.

02

One release, many angles

The chorus, the beat switch, the line fans caption their own videos with. One song yields a dozen clip angles, and each angle finds a different corner of the audience.

03

Sound travels further than faces

Music clips do not need the artist on camera to move. The sound is the content, which means the record can be everywhere at once without the artist posting every day.

04

Timed to the release

Campaigns map to your single, album, tour or catalog moment, building presence before release week and compounding after it.

how it works

From one track to everywhere, fully managed

You send the music

The record, plus whatever footage already exists: performance video, music video, studio material. No footage to hand? We gather and curate the content that fits your artist's world and the vibe of the song. Nothing new to film - and nothing to manage. This is the last step that needs you.

We cut the moments

Our team finds the hook and cuts it into original, platform-native edits. Multiple angles per record, never reuploads, never templates.

The network distributes

Clips post across the frequency network: fan accounts and music theme pages we build, own and operate in-house - never outside creators or marketplace accounts. Every account warmed, healthy and run by our team.

You watch the lift

Reach, saves, shares and sound-page adoption in your own dashboard. We press on the edits that catch and re-cut the ones that do not.

Music clipping FAQ

What is music clipping?

Music clipping is cutting the strongest moments of a song, video or live performance into short clips and distributing them across a network of real social accounts - fan pages, theme pages, genre communities - so the record reaches listeners the artist's own channels never would. Each clip is an original edit, and each post is a fresh chance for the algorithm to pick the song up.

Will clipping actually grow my streams?

Clips drive discovery, and discovery is what moves streams. The signals we optimize for - shares, saves, comment velocity, sound-page adoption - are the same signals that precede streaming growth. We report on the reach and the lift so you can see the chain from clip to listener, not just a view count.

Which platforms do you distribute on?

TikTok and YouTube Shorts are the core of every campaign, with Instagram Reels where the record fits. Our accounts are themed and warmed in-house before they ever post client content, which is what keeps the network healthy long term.

Is this safe for my brand?

Yes. Posts come from accounts we own and operate, with genuine posting history, every clip is an original edit, and nothing is botted, incentivized or reuploaded spam. If a clip would not be worth posting on that account anyway, it does not ship. Your own channels are never touched.

Do you use outside creators or influencers?

No. Every account in the network is built, owned and operated by our team. Nothing goes to a marketplace of creators promoting whatever pays that week - that model is why clipping gets a bad name. Our accounts carry music that fits their audience, run by the people who built them.

How is this different from influencer marketing?

An influencer post buys one audience once. Clipping buys presence: many accounts posting many edits over weeks, each one an independent shot at the algorithm. Influencers are a spark; a clipping network is the fuel. The strongest campaigns use both, in that order.

How is this different from playlist pitching?

Playlists live downstream of discovery. Clipping creates the discovery itself - the listener hears the hook in their feed, then goes looking for the song. Teams usually find playlisting gets easier after a clipping campaign, not before, because curators can see the record moving.

What do you need from us?

The music, plus whatever footage already exists - performance video, music video, studio or behind-the-scenes material. And if the cupboard is bare, we gather and source the content that fits your artist's world or the vibe of the song: nothing is off limits except explicit, discriminatory or violent content. No new filming is required, and nothing is needed from you after that: no creators to brief, no accounts to manage, no posting calendar to chase. We cut the moments, produce the edits, and run the distribution end to end.

Does clipping work for smaller artists and catalogs?

It is arguably where it works best. The algorithm grades every post on its own merits, so a developing artist's clip competes on the same terms as a major's. A new release gaining traction, a catalogue that needs revival, or a mix of both - the same campaign engine runs all three, tuned to where the record is in its life. Catalog records get a second life when the right moment finds the right niche. The one requirement is a song with a moment worth repeating.

Your next release deserves more than one post.
